Environmental Services-Food
The Hancock County Board of Health requires all employees employed in the food service industry to obtain a food handlers card within three months of employment in a food service establishment. The Board encourages volunteer orgainizations who provide food service at fairs, festivals, and special events to take advantage of this opportunity to learn the basics of safe food handling as well.
Fees for food handlers cards are as follows:
1 year $5
2 year $10
3 year $15
1 year cards for those who volunteer for church, athletic, or civic groups are FREE.
