Currently, Meningitis B coverage is NOT in the required meningitis vaccine for 7th & 12th graders at this time, but it is recommended. Children 16 to 18 years is the target group for this 2 shot vaccine. If your child is a WV resident and does not have health insurance, does not have vaccine coverage or is on the WV medical card, please call the Hancock Co Health Department to get information on possible fees & to make an appointment. If your child has private health insurance that covers vaccines contact your child’s doctor to ask about this vaccine.
